Today’s Blast from The Past is Daytona USA. We will be sharing our views of the game, our memories, screenshots, and a link from the Xbox marketplace. Now and again, we will be featuring a game from the past that is available for you to play via backward compatibility on your Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One Consoles.

One thing we do hope, is that you enjoy the nostalgia, and the trip down memory lane. We are trialing this new feature out, and of course would appreciate your feedback, good or bad. As always, the new year sparks new ideas, some we implement, and some we can. 18 through 40 are officially named on the B-univ*DAYTONA USA album, and the four short versions of each track theme are part of the 19th track, "All of Name Entry" on the Let's Go Away The Video Game DAYTONA USA Anniversary Box, which is just a collection of all of these tracks. Please note that tracks 04.2, 07.2, 10.2, 13.2 and 18 through 40 are short jingles that play after entering your name (should you actually do well enough in a race to do so) as the initials given as the song title. There's only a few full tracks in the game, but they're already incredibly catchy in their own right and provide the perfect atmosphere for a high-paced game like Daytona USA. In fact, most people probably remember the music in this game just because of its incredibly Engrish vocals, but Mitsuyoshi's voice adds some sort of strange charm to the soundtrack that makes it even better. Takenobu Mitsuyoshi sure is an interesting fellow not only did he compose the music to the game, he also provides the lyrics to each of the songs.
